Our Junior Kinder children enjoyed a creative literacy activity where they explored the first letter of their names through a fun pasting activity. The children were invited to identify the first letter of their name and decorate it using colourful paper pieces and glue.
After observing their peers, Ali and Zemar showed interest and joined the activity.
The educator asked, “What does your name start with?”
Ali smiled and proudly said, “A for Ali.” He carefully began decorating the letter A with colourful paper pieces.
Zemar sat beside him and said, “Teacher, my name starts with Z!” He happily started gluing colourful paper pieces on the letter Z.
Soon, Aarvin and Mia joined the activity as well. The children shared the materials, encouraged each other, and enjoyed decorating their letters together.
At the end of the activity, the children were very proud of their creations and excited to show their beautiful letters to their friends and educators.
