This week, our Kinder children explored early literacy and numeracy in a fun, hands-on way!
At one table, children practiced counting using loose parts like pine cones, dry sticks, and stones. They enjoyed sorting, grouping, and counting while engaging their senses through touch and exploration.
At another table, children worked on matching uppercase and lowercase letters using cardboard cut-outs (Aa, Bb, Cc, Dd, Ee). It was a playful and engaging way to build early reading skills!
Benefits of these experiences:
• Builds early numeracy and counting skills
• Supports letter recognition and early literacy
• Enhances fine motor skills and coordination
• Encourages problem-solving and critical thinking
• Promotes sensory exploration using natural materials
• Fosters independent and confident learners
