This week in our Junior Kinder room, we celebrated Harmony Week through meaningful and engaging group experiences
During group time, our children enjoyed listening to stories about kindness, inclusion, and respecting one another
We explored different cultures by learning how to say “hello” in different languages
The children proudly shared where they come from and connected with their identities:
-“This is my flag, Turkey.” – Asya
-“In Vietnam, we say Xin Chao.” – Hubert
-“I am from Pakistan.” – Zemar
-“We say Assalam-o-Alaikum in Urdu.” – Educator
-“In Nepal, we say Namaste.” – Evan, Shaanbhi & Aarvin
– “Good day mate!” – Ali
There were smiles, laughter, and excitement as children practised greeting each other in new ways
After group time, children worked together to create a beautiful “Everyone Belongs” poster using hand painting
It was heartwarming to see our Junior Kinders show such enthusiasm, respect, and joy while celebrating diversity and belonging
