Today, our 4-year-old Kinder children engaged in a focused literacy experience that encouraged their growing interest in letters and writing. On the table, we set out alphabet flashcards for the children to choose from, along with pencils and paper for writing practice.
Each child selected a letter card and carefully copied it onto their sheet — showing wonderful concentration and persistence as they explored the shapes and patterns of different letters.
Maya excitedly said, “I’m writing my name, it starts with M!”
Siwaansi proudly shared, “Look, I can make an S.”
Aiden focused on writing the letter O and said, “O looks like a circle!”
Sarrinah smiled as she traced her letters and said, “I can write lots of letters now.”
It was heartwarming to see the children engaged, sharing ideas, and supporting one another as they practised forming letters.
