Eid Festival & Open Day Success
We’re still buzzing from an incredible Saturday, April 5th! Our Eid Festival & Open Day was a huge hit, thanks to all the amazing families who joined us! The cultural food stalls, lovingly set up by our educators, were a huge success! The aroma of delicious food filled the air, and everyone enjoyed the flavors. Our little ones had an absolute blast with: -Face painting-Playdough station-Drawing and building activities-Jumping castle And Games/ bubbles/ baloon twisting Special thanks to our Music Teacher, Mary, for entertaining us with catchy songs that got everyone singing along! And, of course, the Henna tattoo application station was a crowd favorite! The perfect weather, combined with our refreshing Fruit Platter, Lemonade, Tea, and Coffee stalls, made for a day filled with laughter and fun for all! Thank you to everyone who made this day so special! We can’t wait for the next one!
Glenroy Festival Community Event Recap
We were thrilled to participate in the recent Glenroy Festival, where we had the opportunity to connect with local families and share information about our current centre’s enrolments, as well as introduce our upcoming Oak Park Centre. The festival was a fantastic community celebration, attended by approximately 2,000 families. Our team created a welcoming space featuring free food stalls, face painting, live music with our wonderful music teacher Mary, and an array of engaging children’s activities including bubble play, colouring, and stamping. A highlight for many was the delicious chocolate cookies, freshly baked by our experienced chef, accompanied by refreshing juice for the children. It was a fun-filled day full of laughter, creativity, and community spirit. We were delighted to be part of such a vibrant event and look forward to continuing to support families in Glenroy and beyond.

Kinder Graduation Celebration
We celebrated kinder graduation on 10th December 2024, a truly special moment in every young learner’s journey – Kinder Graduation. It’s a time to reflect on the incredible growth and accomplishments of these little ones as they complete their first big chapter in education. From learning their ABCs to mastering numbers, these young minds have explored new concepts, built friendships, and gained confidence. The energy and enthusiasm they bring to the classroom each day remind us of the pure joy of learning and discovery. To the parents, teachers, and staff who supported them every step of the way – thank you for being part of this beautiful adventure. And to the graduates, your hard work and bright spirits are the true stars of this celebration. Here’s to the future, where they will continue to shine even brighter as they embark on their next big adventure: 1st grade.

Mothers Day Celebration
On 10th May our child care center hosted a special Mother’s Day celebration to honor the amazing mothers and mother figures in our children’s lives. A Delicious Treat – We welcomed all the mums with a delightful spread of pink tea, pink cupcakes, and freshly baked scones. It was a lovely way to start the morning, and everyone enjoyed the sweet treats. Fun Activities – Throughout the morning, mums participated in various activities in the different rooms, designed specifically for the children. It was wonderful to see the mums engaging with their little ones and creating special memories together. A Heartfelt Thank You – We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the mums who joined us for this special celebration. Your love, care, and dedication to your children are truly appreciated, and we feel grateful to be a part of your child’s early learning journey. Celebrating Our Amazing Educators – Today, we take a moment to express our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to our incredible educators here at Small Friends Child Care. Their tireless efforts, dedication, and passion for providing top-notch care and education to our children have not gone unnoticed. Special Gifts for Our Educators – Each of our amazing educators will also receive a special gift, carefully chosen to acknowledge their outstanding contributions throughout the year. We hope these gifts will serve as a reminder of the positive impact they have on the lives of our children and their families. Staff Annual Dinner Party
We ended 2024 with a dinner party designed to connect and celebrate our team. The evening included each team member being gifted a bundle of gift cards and appreciation for their amazing work throughout the year. Over the dinner we played a parcel game, passing the bowl of pre-filled out questions around the table, taking turns at being the quiz master, getting to know each other better, and with each correct answer a small gift of jewelry from Bevilles. These warm, fuzzy, and fun experiences brought the educators together to laugh and enjoy as a family. A few of the team members danced together to have more fun on Bollywood/Arabic and English music. Lastly, the tasty dinner and special sweet treat Kulfi made the evening more enjoyable. We firmly believe in inclusion and diversity and are proud to have multicultural team members. A qualified well trained loving and caring team is a blessing.
Diwali celebration
The foyer was transformed into a vibrant and festive space as it was set up to celebrate the joyous occasion of Diwali. Colorful drapes and artificial garlands adorned the area, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. Traditional bangles and hand garlands added a touch of authenticity to the decor. The staff and children got into the spirit of the festival by wearing traditional Diwali attire. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and joy as the children danced to popular Hindi songs. To add to the festivities, traditional sweets such as ladoos in shades of red, yellow, and green were served, delighting everyone’s taste buds. The celebration was a wonderful blend of tradition, culture, and fun, making it a memorable Diwali experience for all.
Halloween Celebration at Small Friends Child Care Centre
On 31-10-24, Our child care centre transformed into a spooky yet fun-filled zone as we celebrated Halloween with great enthusiasm. The excitement was palpable as children and staff alike dressed up in their favourite costumes, ready to indulge in a day of thrills and treats. Trick-or-Treat Delights – The highlight of the day was, of course, the trick-or-treat activity. Staff members, dressed up as friendly ghosts, distributed an assortment of sweets to the delighted children. The little ones eagerly went from one “haunted” station to another, their bags and buckets filling up with goodies. Face Painting and More – To add to the festive atmosphere, a face-painting station was set up where children could get their faces painted with spooky designs, from witches and ghosts to pumpkins and bats. Other engaging activities were also organized to keep the children entertained throughout the day. A Day of Spooky Fun – The Halloween celebration at our child care centre was a resounding success, with everyone having a howling good time. It was wonderful to see the children and staff coming together to create such a memorable experience. We can’t wait to do it all again next year
