Kinder Graduation

A heartfelt thank you to all the parents for joining us at our Kinder Graduation last Monday! Your support for the 4 year Year-Funded Kinder Program means the world to us. Our little graduates have grown so much! They’re confident, can write their names, know their numbers, and are already reading! They’re emotionally strong and independent, and it’s clear they’re ready for school. We’re incredibly proud of how well our Kinder children performed. The event was amazing, and the kids’ videos sharing their dreams and favorite Kinder memories were truly heartwarming. A special thanks to our amazing Kinder teachers and our school readiness coaches, Semann & Slattery, Ms. Radha, and Robyn Papworth for their dedication in preparing our children for this next big step. We are so grateful for this wonderful journey and the strong community that supports our little ones.
Celebrating Recycling Week at our center this November

We transformed our entire center into a hub of sustainable loose-part activities, inspired by the innovative approach from Victoria University. From our baby room to the Kinder room, children engaged with recycled materials—cardboards, empty jars, ribbons, paints, and more—unleashing their creativity and imagination. Our educators embraced the concept of “risk play,” stepping back to let the children explore, manipulate, and create their own masterpieces. It was amazing to see how they turned simple materials into imaginative creations, proving that learning and fun don’t always require expensive toys. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the event a huge success! Together, we’re fostering creativity, sustainability, and a love for learning.
Junior Kinder Adventure at Leandro Library Hub

Yesterday, our little ones embarked on a delightful excursion to the Leandro Library Hub. Hand in hand, with their hats and jackets on, and sunscreen applied, they explored nature and observed the beautiful trees along their walk. Alongside their wonderful teachers, the children enjoyed captivating story time, diving into special Christmas tales. They also got creative with fun art and craft activities and had a blast playing in the park—sliding down slides, swinging high, and digging in the sandpit. After an hour of smiles, laughter, and learning, they returned home happy and fulfilled. Excursions like these are fantastic for fostering curiosity, enhancing social skills, and creating lasting memories!
Fun & Learning in Our Toddler Room

November was a month full of excitement, learning, and new experiences in our Toddler Room! We explored the theme of Community Helpers, enjoying songs like “My Neighbourhood” and the “Community Helpers Song.” These songs helped introduce different community professions and supported the children’s growing language skills. With the weather changing, we also learned about the importance of using sunscreen to stay safe in the sun. Mary’s dancing and singing sessions added even more joy and energy each week! Indoors, the children loved playing with playdough and creating wonderful things using recycled materials. We welcomed new children into the room, and our little community is growing beautifully. New friendships are blooming every day. We also went on lovely outings to the library and park, giving the children new spaces to explore and enjoy. One of the proudest moments this month was watching the toddlers practise independence by cutting their own fruit for morning tea—such a big achievement for our little learners! We are so proud of how much confidence, curiosity, and independence our toddlers have shown throughout November.
Lunch Box Week – Building Confidence for School

Last week, we completed our Lunch Box Week as part of our School Readiness program. This wonderful experience helped build the children’s confidence and encouraged self-reliance as they prepare for school. Throughout the week, we talked about healthy eating and being independent with our own chores. As the children enjoyed their lunch, they happily chatted about what they had in their lunch boxes and proudly showed how independent they were becoming. Miss Thao praised everyone for being responsible and explained how lunchtime works at school—playing, eating, and learning throughout the day. Each child had the opportunity to open their lunch box and enjoy their meals on their own. Some children brought sandwiches, others brought fruit, and some enjoyed snacks like crackers and cheese. To extend their learning, we also set up a cutting and pasting activity, where the children created their own lunch boxes using recycled paper bags and food pictures. They loved designing their healthy meals and talking about the foods they enjoy. As we wrapped up Lunch Box Week, the children looked forward to opening their lunch boxes each day and were excited to eat the healthy foods they brought from home. This experience has not only been fun but has also helped strengthen their confidence and independence as they get ready for school.
We’re launching our Spring & Summer menu

Exciting News! We’re launching our Spring & Summer menu, and we’re incredibly lucky to have our talented chef with us for the past seven years! Yesterday, we tried a delicious new recipe—cinnamon biscuits for afternoon tea—and the children absolutely loved them! We value collaboration, so we’d love to hear suggestions from our children, educators, and families to make our menu even more delightful. Let’s create tasty memories together!
Happy World Kindness Day

Yesterday we celebrated World Kindness Day — a gentle reminder to be kind to each other, to ourselves, and to the world around us. Did you know? Self-compassion means being kind to yourself, even when things don’t go as planned. It’s about noticing your feelings and treating yourself with the same warmth, care, and understanding you’d offer to a loved one. For children, learning self-compassion helps them cope with mistakes, setbacks, and tough moments in a positive, healthy way. Let’s continue to nurture kindness — in our hearts, our classrooms, and our communities. Find out ways to help your child build self-compassion: https://ow.ly/xVV250XpLuJ
Diwali Celebration in Our 4-Year-Old Kinder Room

Last week, our Kinder room was filled with joy and excitement as we celebrated Diwali — the Festival of Lights! The children were amazed to see the room beautifully decorated with colourful lights, bright rangoli patterns, and sparkling decorations. Their smiles said it all as they admired the festive colours and glowing atmosphere. A special highlight of the day was our Diwali cooking experience, where the children helped make healthy Indian sweets. They explored the ingredients, smelled the warm, aromatic spices, and used their little hands to mix and roll the sweet treats. This hands-on activity encouraged teamwork, sensory exploration, and fine motor development. The best part? The children proudly shared the sweets they made with their friends during afternoon tea — a true celebration of light, love, and togetherness
Remembrance Day

Today in our Kinder room, the children took part in a meaningful experience to honour Remembrance Day (11th November) — a day that holds deep significance in Australia as we remember and pay tribute to the brave men and women who served in the armed forces. The children listened, reflected, and created beautiful red poppy artworks to show respect and gratitude for those who sacrificed for peace.
Exploring Letters and Words in 4-Year-Old Kinder

Today, our 4-year-old Kinder children engaged in a focused literacy experience that encouraged their growing interest in letters and writing. On the table, we set out alphabet flashcards for the children to choose from, along with pencils and paper for writing practice. Each child selected a letter card and carefully copied it onto their sheet — showing wonderful concentration and persistence as they explored the shapes and patterns of different letters. Maya excitedly said, “I’m writing my name, it starts with M!”Siwaansi proudly shared, “Look, I can make an S.”Aiden focused on writing the letter O and said, “O looks like a circle!”Sarrinah smiled as she traced her letters and said, “I can write lots of letters now.” It was heartwarming to see the children engaged, sharing ideas, and supporting one another as they practised forming letters.
